Re: “Banning high school football participation should be considered” (Editorial, Sept. 3):

The editorial applauding the decline in high school football is an off-base bit of politically correct puffery. If the editorial board is concerned about concussions, then why not start with or include girls’ soccer, which studies show cause the most concussions in high school sports?

While I agree with no-contact football for non-high school players, I do not agree with demonizing football, especially as that is the sport that seems to be doing the most to limit concussions and other injuries. What is the basis for this anti-football bias?
